Kathmandu, July 25. Chhahari Organisation Nepal, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Boudha, successfully organised a one-day blood donation programme on 24th July 2025 (8th Shrawan 2082) in the Boudha area. The event commenced early in the morning with well-managed arrangements for registration, health screening, and safe blood collection. The initiative aimed to strengthen the local blood supply, assist patients during emergencies, and raise awareness among the public about the significance of voluntary blood donation.
A total of 39 generous individuals came forward to donate blood, contributing 39 pints in total. Speaking at the event, Ngima Dawa Tamang, Founder of Chhahari Organisation Nepal, emphasised that blood donation is a selfless and invaluable act of saving lives. He also underlined the importance of continuing such initiatives to foster a culture of service and solidarity within the community.
On the occasion, founder president Tamang recalled the support the organisation got from Project Nepal and Transparent Aid and thanked the donors for their regular support in all humanitarian endeavors of Chhahari.
Raghab Sharma, President of Chhahari Organisation Nepal, noted that consistent blood donation can significantly ease shortages during crises and directly help those in urgent need. He expressed thankfulness to the Rotary Club of Boudha for their partnership and reiterated the organisation’s commitment to supporting similar humanitarian efforts in the days ahead.
The programme was made possible through the efforts of dedicated volunteers and staff from both organisations, who ensured that all donors were comfortable and well cared for throughout the process. Many first-time donors shared feelings of pride and fulfilment, viewing the experience as a meaningful step towards community engagement. Regular donors reaffirmed their intention to continue giving in the future.
At the end of the programme, all donors were presented with Certificates of Appreciation by Chhahari Organisation Nepal, acknowledging their valuable contribution and inspiring them—and others—to remain actively involved in such noble causes.
